Karin (Fehr) Savage, age 83 of Manitowoc, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at Laurel Grove Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Karin was born on January 23, 1940, in Kessel, Germany to the late Friedrich and Anna (Goebel) Fehr. She married the late Robert C. Savage in March of 1959 in Germany before coming to the United States. Karin graduated from High School in Germany, and became a Nursing Assistant in the United States after Robert passed in 1988. She then became the owner of Savage's Park Place, CBRF, in Manitowoc. Together she and Robert had one son, Marc D. Savage, who preceded her in death in 2011. Karin enjoyed gardening and having monthly meetings with a group of women who all immigrated from Germany.

Karin is survived by two brothers-in-law: James (Judi) Savage and Eugene (Mary) Savage; and one sister-in-law: Ellen Vander Bloomen. She is further survived by local nieces and nephews, as well as a niece and nephew in Germany, other relatives, and friends. Karin is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Marc D. Savage; and a sister: Walhraut (Willy) Braun.

Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory. Per Karin's request, no services will be held. Karin's cremated remains will be laid to rest with her husband and son at Evergreen Cemetery.
