Kathy Owens, age 71, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Kathy was born on September 4, 1953 in Sheboygan to the late Donald and Hildegarde (Geupel) Owens.  She had enjoyed working at Holiday House in Manitowoc for many years.  Kathy always had plenty of cats and dogs (boyfriends too) throughout her life.  She liked spending her time doing projects with yarn, puzzles, coloring, and watching Frozen.  Kathy was a connoisseur of chocolates, wine and potato chips.  She was a loving person that was always there to give a hug and embrace.

Survivors include Kathy's brother, John (Karen) Owens; niece, Jodi (Jake) Lamer, and their children, Jake "JJ" and Grace; nephew, Shawn (Vanessa Camarillo) Owens; a great friend and caretaker that was with Kathy for more than ½ her life, Sharon Clement; several stepsiblings and their families; also other relatives and friends.  Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Bill Honold; stepmother, Jeanette Owens; and brother, David Honold.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Pastor Jed Manders officiating.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial to take place at Lutheran Cemetery in Sheboygan at a later date.  Following the memorial service, a dinner for family and family and friends will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

Kathy's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Kathy's fellow residents and staff at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, and also the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all of the care, friendship, and compassion they provided.  Also, thanks to Lakeland Care for all of their guidance and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any memorials in Kathy's name to Sharon S. Richardson Hospice.
