Kenneth J. Dorey. age 80, a resident of Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday evening, January 25, 2012 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ken was born on December 31, 1931 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late James and Elizabeth Walter Dorey. Ken had been employed in the printing department at Holiday House for many years. He was active at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center as editor of their weekly newspaper and also as a hall monitor. Ken was an avid Green Bay Packer football fan and was also very knowledgeable about the city of Manitowoc and Great Lakes shipping.

He is survived by his second cousins twice removed and caretakers for the last 17 years: Margaret and Earl Vande Walle, Manitowoc; special friend: Elaine Ingrish, Manitowoc; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Elizabeth Dorey.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, 2601 South 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment to follow at the mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at Calvary Mausoleum on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 a.m.

There will also be a memorial mass held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Rivers Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, 960 South Rapids Road, Manitowoc, with Rev. Richard Klingeisen officiating.
