Obituary

Kenneth M. Leinss, age 67, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life Monday evening, May 23, 2016 at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay.

Ken was born February 7, 1949 in Milwaukee. He was the son of the late John and Lena Greifemberg Leinss. Ken was a graduate of Sussex Hamilton High School with the class of 1968. He continued his education at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse where he received his bachelor's degree in history and social studies. Ken was employed as a teacher and girls basketball coach at the Two Rivers Catholic Central Grade School. He was the co-founder of the Cool City Girls and Boys Basketball Tournament in Two Rivers. Ken had also been employed for many years as the manager for the Kwik Trip in Two Rivers. On November 23, 1974 he married Mary E. Gnadt at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Brookfield. He participated in local softball leagues in Two Rivers. Ken enjoyed following the Green Bay Packers, the Milwaukee Brewers, and the Wisconsin Badgers along with following many other sporting events.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years: Mary; three children: Sara (Chris) Asen, Oshkosh; Justin Leinss and Cynde Helke, Manitowoc; Jason and Lara Leinss, Millington, TN; six grandchildren: Blake, Warren, Maddie, Libby, McKenna, and Ben; one sister and brother-in-law: Marianne and John Diderrich, Manchester, MO; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Lena Leinss; one brother: Robert Leinss; and one sister: Lois Ziegler.

With respect to Ken's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral services. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneral home.com.
