Kenneth F. McGlin, age 83, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Sunday evening, September 25, 2016 at the Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
Kenny was born June 10, 1933 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Edward G. and Catherine Kemmeter McGlin. Kenny was employed with Eck Industries for over 30 years from where he retired in 1997. On August 11, 1956 he married Sylvia Parworth at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Kenny was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church where he had been an active volunteer at the church. He also was an honorary member of the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department where he had been a member since 1974. Kenny loved gardening and sharing his fruits and vegetables with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years: Sylvia; three children: Debbie Cartwright, Manitowoc; Mike McGlin, Manitowoc; Kathy (Robert) Ruppelt, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Tammy (Rob) Seiler and Michelle (Brent) Anderson; one step granddaughter: Amy (Mike) Smith; three great grandchildren: Draven and Luka Seiler, and Quinn Anderson; four step great grandchildren: Tristin, Lexi, Casey and Zander; one brother: Edward (Sally) McGlin, Two Rivers; two sisters: Ruth Ann Smith, Iowa; Cecelia Bashaw, Manitowoc; one sister-in-law: Maria McGlin, Manitowoc; four brothers-in-law: Timothy (Judith) Parworth, Waukesha; Joseph (Marion) Parworth, Manitowoc; Eugene (Janice) Parworth, Manitowoc; Christopher Parworth, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Edward G. and Catherine McGlin; twin infant brother and sister: John and JoAnn; infant sister: Margaret; brother: Robert McGlin; sister: Mary Vallejo; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Eugene and Josephine Parworth.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Michael Warden with entombment to follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the committal services at Knollwood Mausoleum there will be a luncheon for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
