Obituary

Kenneth L. Schuh, age 80, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.

Ken was born on April 15, 1945 in Manitowoc to the late Raymond and Marie (Knier) Schuh.  He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1963, and went on to graduate from UW Oshkosh in 1968 where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Studies.  On November 27, 1971, Ken married Mary Ann Staral at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Manitowoc.  After working a year as a teacher in Randolph, WI, he worked at Manitowoc Engineering for 31 years until his retirement in 2002.  Ken enjoyed spending his time golfing, bowling, gardening, and fishing.  He was also an accomplished table tennis player.  Above all, Ken loved spending his time with his family and friends – especially his grandchildren.

Survivors include Ken's wife of 54 years, Mary; two daughters, Renee (Jason Nyberg) Schuh and Jennifer (Howard Nelson) Schuh; two grandchildren, Isabel and Graham Nelson; brother, Ronald (Mary Jo) Schuh; two sisters, Virginia Hackbarth and Janice (Ronald) Schaden; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, LaVerne (Merlin) Melnarik; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marie Schuh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Caroline Staral; five siblings, Lorraine (Vernon) Koeppel, Raymond Schuh Jr., Carol (Charles) Kumbalek, Delores (Bob) Schmatz, and Arnold Schuh; and two sisters-in-law, Carol (Joseph Fabian and Ronald Mitchell) Mitchell and Jeanette (Donald) Fabian.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2026 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc with Rev. Nicholas Stellpflug officiating.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with placement of Ken's cremated remains to be held at Harmony Haven Columbarium at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.  The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand on Friday, May 29, 2026 from 9 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Ken's name that will be used to benefit organizations that were important to him.

Ken's family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staffs of DaVita Manitowoc Dialysis and Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all the care and compassion they provided.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
