Kopetsky
August 26, 1956 – January 12, 2022
Kirk J. Kopetsky, age 65, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life with family by his side on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
Kirk was born on August 26, 1956 in Manitowoc to Jacqueline (Konkel) Kopetsky and the late James F. Kopetsky. He graduated from Lincoln High School and later went on to complete his education at Lakeshore Technical College. Kirk had worked as a machinist at Manitowoc Engineering, Omega Machine Shop, and completed his career working side-by-side with his boss and friend, Rick Pietroske. Throughout his life, Kirk enjoyed fishing, cycling, and above all, spending time with his family. He was a man of faith and was active at St. Francis of Assisi where he was a member. Kirk was a very kind-hearted, generous, and loving person. In that spirit, he devoted the last several years of his life to living with and caring for his mother during her time of need. In addition to his mother, Kirk had also cared for numerous friends who had fallen on hard times.
Survivors include Kirk's mother, Jackie; two brothers, Kerry Kopetsky and Kent (Linda) Kopetsky; three nephews, Brad (Mitra) Kopetsky, Tyler (Jess) Kopetsky, and Nic (Tia) Kopetsky; four great nieces, Kylee, Ava, Mya, and Eliah; also other relatives and friends.
