Lanny R. Teteak, age 84, a Valders resident, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024 at his home.

He was born January 23, 1940 in Manitowoc, son of the late George and Florence (Felber) Teteak. Lanny attended Manitowoc Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1958. At Lincoln, he excelled in sports, especially baseball and football. Following high school, Lanny enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served as an Aviation Mechanic aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. He had a passion for sports and devoted much of his spare time coaching, especially baseball and football. Lanny also enjoyed plastic model building. Above all, he was a dedicated and loving father.

Lanny is survived by his son: Steven Teteak; two grandsons: Dominic Gage Teteak and Dylan Django Teteak; three nieces: Maureen (McLaughlin) Aikens, Linda (McLaughlin) Purl, and Muffy (McLaughlin) O'Donnell; as well as great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Lisa (Teteak) Lee; parents: George and Florence (Felber) Teteak; brother: Donald Teteak; sister: Mary Jane (Fred) McLaughlin.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and memorial services will be held at a later date.
