LaVerne M. Zutz, age 81, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday afternoon, April 24, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.
LaVerne was born on August 13, 1931 in Manitowoc County to the late Walter and Clara Bruce Zietlow. She graduated from Valders High School with the class of 1949. On December 4, 1954, LaVerne married Orlan Zutz in Valders, WI. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2012. LaVerne had made many friends through her employment at Stocks Supper Club and JCPenney. She enjoyed spending her time as a homemaker and being with her family and friends.
Survivors include LaVerne's three children: Patti (Michael) Reilly, Gregory Zutz, and Kerri (Don) Popp, all of Manitowoc; five grandchildren: Meghann (Aaron) Voegeli, Taylor Brice, Parker Popp, Peyton Popp, and Kasey Reilly; brother: Kenneth (Karen) Zietlow, Manitowoc; sister: Carol Maaske, Manitowoc; brother-in-law: William (Elaine) Zutz, Valders; two sisters-in-law: Annabelle Ebenhoe, Manitowoc; and Lorraine (Wally) Stenzel, Valders; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Orlan; three sisters; three brothers; as well as other in-laws.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home in Manitowoc. Officiating will be Rev. Roald Harswick with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
