LaVonne G. Trost, age 75, of Manitowoc, entered eternal life while surrounded by her family on Monday, November 16, 2015 at her residence.
LaVonne was born on March 29, 1940 in Two Rivers to the late Earl and Margaret Cox Oestreich. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1958. On May 9, 1959, LaVonne married Roger E. Trost at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She was employed as a CNA for 28 years at Manitowoc Health Care Center. LaVonne enjoyed spending her time cooking, reading, and the joy of her family. She was a member of Hope Community Church in Manitowoc.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years: Roger; five children: Wally Trost, Manitowoc; Jim (Kay) Trost, Manitowoc; Douglas (Deb) Trost, Ripon; Amy (Scot) Eisenschink, Manitowoc; and Jill (James) Kirchen, Chippewa Falls; 11 grandchildren: Matt, Carter Ann, Ryan, Marques, Daniel, Logan, Kendra, Emma, April, Jordan and Kate; great grandson: Noah; brother: Wally (Sandy) Oestreich, Lakeland, FL; sister: Barbara (JD) Mims, Victorville, CA; also other relatives and friends. LaVonne was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Margaret Oestreich; step-father: Harry Kania; and a daughter in infancy: Gina.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Hope Community Church, 4408 County Road B, Manitowoc. Rev. Rick Hines and Rev. John Aitken will officiate. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at noon.
