Leon "Lee" Galien, age 88, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Shady Lane Nursing Home in Manitowoc.

Lee was born on January 27, 1936, in Exeland, Wisconsin, the son of Archie and Sophia Galien. He proudly served in the US Air Force. On March 21, 1956 he married Elizabeth "Betty" Scherasky in Manitowoc. Lee was a truck driver for most of his life, and served many of those years at Schneider Transport. After retirement, he volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and riding his bicycle.

Lee is survived by his children: Laurel "Lori" (Mark) Lorenz, Gail Rockwell and special friend Will, Jay Galien, and Jesse (Judy) Galien; three grandchildren: Andrea (Chris) Sippel, Corey Rockwell, and Samantha Rockwell; three step grandchildren: Troy Heideman, Todd Heideman, and Kimberly Langolf; three great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; sister-in-law  Jeanette (Richard) Van Engen; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents, and all of his siblings, one sister-in-law and one brother-in-law.

Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc, on Monday, January 20, 2025. Please meet at the sexton house at the 18th Street entrance at 1:45 p.m. for committal prayers and Military Honors.
