Obituary

Leroy E. Brouchoud, age 72, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Artisan Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Leroy was born on March 7, 1945 in Manitowoc to the late Marvin and Ruth (Pleuss) Brouchoud. He attended Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. Leroy had served his country in the United States Army. He had worked at Kelvinator and Manitowoc Engineering for many years. Leroy was a musician and previously enjoyed playing electric bass for the noted blind blues guitar player Bryan Lee in the early 1960's, the rock n' roll band El Dorados, and also with his brother, country music singer Johnny Len. For the past decade, Leroy enjoyed dedicating his time at Artisan Assisted Living where he tended to gardening, helping out as a handyman, and above all, looking out for his fellow residents with his care and friendship.

Survivors include Leroy's daughter, Lora (Robert) Meyer, Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Hayden, Madison, and Jeffrey; sister, Mildred Fisher, Grafton; brother, Leonard (Karen) Brouchoud, Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ruth Brouchoud; brother, Lloyd Waack; and two sisters, Margaret Brouchoud and Marie Sprang.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home with Rev. Benjamin Schaefer officiating. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Leory's cremated remains to be at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Leroy's name.
