LeRoy F. Lasee, age 80, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Saturday afternoon, June 11, 2016 at his residence.
LeRoy was born December 26, 1935 in Ogema, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Sylvester and Elsie Vollendorf Lasee. LeRoy was a graduate of Prentice High School with the class of 1954. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged LeRoy returned to Manitowoc. He became employed with Rockwell Lime Company as a truck driver for over 30 years before he retired. After retiring, LeRoy worked part time with R & S Trucking in Reedsville. On May 2, 1964 he married Marie A. Foreyt at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. LeRoy was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years: Marie; three daughters and sons-in-law: Sherri and Michael Jankovich, DePere; Kim and Aaron Kaplan, Plano, Texas; Donna and Barry Emmer, Reedsville; six grandchildren: Dana, Alex, Paulina, Derek, Diego, and Max; two sisters: Maxine VanPieterson, Menominee Falls; Doris Graff, Mequon; two brothers-in-law: Francis (Joyce) Foreyt, CA; Paul (Dorothy) Foreyt, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law: Emily (Russ) Ruether, Manitowoc; Adeline (Jim) Sauer, Manitowoc; many nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Sylvester and Elsie Lasee; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Bob Lasee; Ray and Lois Lasee; two sisters-in-law: Eleanore (George) Jung, and Helen (Vint) Samz; two brothers-in-law: Russ VanPieterson and Allan Graff; nephew: Brian Ruether; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Steve and Anna Foreyt.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Entombment will follow at Knollwood Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the time of services at 2 p.m.
