Obituary

Lila M. Foytik, age 87, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.

Lila was born March 7, 1930 in Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Whalton and Delores Bedore Georgenson Sr. Lila was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. Following high school Lila entered the United States Army where she was stationed in California as a radio operator. After her honorable discharge from the Army, Lila returned to Manitowoc and became employed with the Manitowoc Phone Company and later with Holy Family Hospital working as a switchboard operator from where she retired. She was married to James J. Foytik on October 30, 1954. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1996. Lila loved to read, play Yatzee and do crossword puzzles.

She is survived by three children: Ellen (Joseph) Domingo, Orchard, WA; Maria (Jerry) Nick, Charleston, SC; Michael (Denise) Foytik, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Kaiulani (Nate) Gray, Kaeo Domingo, Kaimana Domingo, Leialani Huger, and Michael (Valerie) Huger, Breanna Foytik, and Brittany (Matt) Rick; six great grandchildren: Darren and Warren Huger, Aulani Domingo, Leialani and Keahikai Gray, and Colten Michael Crass; three brothers: Gerald (Carol) Georgenson, Manitowoc; Martin (Ann) Georgenson, Manitowoc; Whatlon "Butch" (Linda) Georgenson Jr., Sturgeon Bay; one sister: Donna Rott, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Whalton and Delores Georgenson Sr.; husband: James J. Foytik; and one sister: Shirley Cigler.

Memorial services will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until the time of services at 4 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Marcus Constantine. Burial of her cremated remains will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Following the funeral service there will be a dinner for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the funeral home.
