Obituary

Linda Lou Lochman passed away March 18, 2012 at a Green Bay area hospital after a battle with cancer. She was 61.

Linda was born April 23, 1950 to Ronald Lochman and Lois Joan Martin. She is survived by three brothers, Kelley, Samuel and Peter.

Linda was graduated by Green Bay's East High School in 1968, and went on to successfully complete course work in 1984 at the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay for a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development.

An avid reader and writer of poetry, Linda was especially fond of Anne Sexton's work, and participated in numerous poetry readings in the Green Bay area over the years. She was a superbly accomplished sketch artist, a competent equestrienne, and played the classical guitar. She logged thousands of miles on a bicycle in her youth, and even completed a solo ride from Milwaukee to Green Bay. An animal lover, she shared her life at one time or another with cats, birds, turtles, tortoises, horses, a donkey and a rat.

Her friends will miss her big smile, her mischievous chuckle, her great long rambling hand-written letters, her phone calls at odd hours, her generosity, her helpfulness, and especially her friendship. Hers was a difficult end to a difficult life, and we leave her to the beneficence of God. We do not say good bye to Linda. Instead, we await the day we can say hello again.

We owe a very special debt to Andrew Harrigan of Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home for his tireless and selfless efforts on behalf of Linda's final arrangements. Our profound gratitude in this regard is beyond our ability to properly express.
