Lois L. Tess Hammersley, age 67, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.

Lois was born on September 25, 1950 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Laurine Sinkler Tess Sr.  Lois had been employed with Mirro Aluminum and self-employed for 20 years.  On July 4, 2004 she was married to Gerald L. Hammersley in Green Bay.   Lois enjoyed arts, crafts, making greeting cards, organizing and planning family gatherings for all the holidays and special events.

She is survived by her husband: Gerald Hammersley, Manitowoc; two daughters:  Shelly (Donny) Brooks, Manitowoc; Michelle (Edward) Leverenz, Westland, MI; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great grandchild to be born in October; brothers and sisters:  Clayton (Nancy) Tess, Keith (Barb) Tess, Bill (Joanne) Tess, Pamela Masci, all of Manitowoc; Cheryl Foyd and Bob Tess, both of Neenah; Debra Green, Ohio; Lisa Tess, Arizona; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents:  Robert and Laurine Tess Sr.

A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. led by her nephew, Rev.
