Obituary

Lorraine A. Erdmann, age 83, of Walnut Grove Assisted Living, 1480 North 7th Street, Manitowoc, formerly of 3318 Lindberg Drive, Manitowoc, entered eternal life late Wednesday evening, November 10, 2010 at Walnut Grove.

Lorraine was born August 5, 1927 in Cato, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Simon and Mathilda Schamburek Strauss. On October 23, 1948 she married Paul E. Erdmann at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Maple Gove, Wisconsin. Lorraine was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and enjoyed singing in the church's choir. She was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post #659. Lorraine enjoyed playing in her Bridge and Sheepshead Marathons along with traveling.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years: Paul; three sons: Thomas (Bertha) Erdmann, their son: Larry, South Haven, MI; John (Barbara) Erdmann, their son, Jeremy, daughter, Mandy, Appleton, WI; Mark (Jenny) Erdmann, their daughters, Allison, Jamie and Leah, Darien, IL; two daughters: Nancy (John) Selinsky, their son, Nicolas, their daughter, Chelsea, Green Bay, WI; Susan (James) Starr, their sons, Dan and Andy, Niagara, WI; three sisters: Evelyn (Harold) Kummer, Manitowoc, WI; LaVerne (Myron) Schettl, Oconoco, MN; Shirley (Fred) Richmond, Manitowoc, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, mother-in-law: Agnes Erdmann; father-in-law: Elmer Erdmann; sister: Rita (Clifford) Maule; brothers-in-law: Richard Erdmann, Lloyd Meyer and Kenneth Detert.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 15, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Sunday, November 14, 2010 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. lead by Deacon Al Boeldt. The visitation will continue on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 10:00 a.m.
