Lorraine M. Fricke, age 87, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Next Step at Felician Village in Manitowoc.

Lorraine was born on May 3, 1923 in Manitowoc to the late Joseph and Theresa Neuser Gehrig. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1941. In 1945, Lorraine married Roy G. Fricke in Manitowoc. Roy preceded her in death on July 12, 2006. Lorraine was employed with Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and also Maritime Ford in Manitowoc. She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, going to the library, and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Lorraine was a member of the Holy Family Memorial Wellness Center and St. Francis of Assisi Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include her five children: Kathie Fricke, John Fricke, Charles "Chip" Fricke and his special friend, Dorothy Gantenbein, Robert (Barbara) Fricke, and Scott Fricke and his special friend, Mary Kiel; three grandchildren: Liz, Jason, and Morgan; three sisters-in-law: Mary Ellen Fricke, Susan Gehrig and Jeanne Gehrig; a dear friend, Duke Lauson; also nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy; two brothers: James and Robert; and a close friend: Ann Lauson.

There will be a private memorial service for her family.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorials can be sent to the Manitowoc Public Library, Domestic Violence Center, or the donor's choice.
