Lucille Ann LaLeike, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, age 80, a Manitowoc resident, entered into eternal life on Friday, March 11, 2011 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center in Manitowoc.
Lucille was born on November 6, 1930 in Stevens Point to the late Paul and Frances Koshollek. She graduated from P.J. Jacobs High School in Stevens Point in 1948. Lucille then went on to attend UW Stevens Point. On February 29, 1952, Lucille married the love of her life, Lowell D. LaLeike. Lowell preceded her in death on March 14, 1996. Lucille was a wonderful homemaker, antique collector, and an avid reader. In her retirement, she devoted herself to her church by ushering and served her community through Meals On Wheels and as a poll worker.
Survivors include her four children: Kathryn (David) Wicihowski, Menasha; Robert LaLeike, Two Rivers; Michael (Susan Belau) LaLeike, Eau Claire; and Kristine LaLeike, Naperville, IL; 5 grandchildren: Michael (Jennifer) Wicihowski, Steven Wicihowski, Elizabeth Wicihowski and her fiancé Brian Boothby, Samantha Perry, and Nicholas Perry; one sister: Barbara Koshollek; 3 sisters-in-law: Irene Koshollek, Berdine LaLeike, and Judy LaLeike; 2 brothers-in-law: Richard Ceplina and Edward Slattery; many loving nieces and nephews; also other relatives and friends. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lowell; 3 brothers: Frank, Paul Jr., and Joseph; 5 sisters: Margaret, Rosemary, Florence, Virginia, and Eileen; 3 brothers-in-law: Ernie, Melvin, and Jerry; and 1 sister-in-law: Frances.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc on Monday, March 14, 2011 from 4 pm until 7 pm. A prayer service led by Deacon Paul Kieffer will take place at 6:30 pm. The visitation will continue on Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo from 10 am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. The Rev. Gerald Foley will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
