Obituary

Lynn M. Haefke passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on May 7, 2024, at age 73. She was born on September 3, 1950, in Manitowoc to Raymond and Shirley Heim. She graduated with the class of 1968 from Lincoln High School. On March 16, 1974, Lynn married Richard Haefke. She worked at Gilbert's Bakery, Shady Lane, and was a caregiver for many children over the years. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader. Lynn was the matriarch of the family, and her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She loved playing poker at home with anyone who wanted to lose their money, spending time at the cabin up north, gardening, decorating for the holidays, and drinking a bottomless hot cup of coffee with whoever stopped by the house. The family holidays and get-togethers will never be the same without her amazing home cooked recipes that were always made with love.

Lynn is survived by her husband Richard; son Rickie Haefke; grandchildren Brianna Nilsson, Zachary Conway, Rayne Haefke; great-grandchildren Neveah and Kaivion; sister Lori Heim-Mueller; nieces and nephews Holly Bieberitz, Jay Meisner, Tony Olivera; great-niece and great-nephew Courtney and Grayson; great-great-niece Zaneria; brother-in-law David Haefke; sister-in-law Connie Sleger; special friends of the family Shaunda Stuart, Doug Conway and Jennifer Dirkman; and many other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Shirley Heim, daughters Tiffany Mahloch and Jennifer Haefke, father-in-law and mother-in-law Martin and Geraldine Haefke, and special friend of the family Dale Meisner.
