Strzyzewski
March 4, 1938 – May 5, 2025
Lynne M. Strzyzewski, age 87, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, May 5, 2025 at her residence.
Lynne was born on March 4, 1938 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Chester and Emma (Raatz) Breivogel. She attended Washington High School, Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1956. Following high school, Lynne attended Milwaukee Institute of Technology from 1956-1957 where she received a degree in nursing. She began her nursing career in St. Petersburg, Florida, before returning to Manitowoc. She was then employed with Memorial Hospital (Holy Family Memorial) as a Licensed Practical Nurse from 1958 until her retirement in 2002. On September 22, 1962 she married Ronald E. Strzyzewski at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2020. Lynne enjoyed doing crafts, especially woodworking, painting, knitting, and crocheting. She also liked spending time in her garden and canning. Lynne was also very active and enjoyed biking and walking. Ron and Lynne also travelled together and took many great trips over the years. Above all, Lynne loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include Lynne's three sons, Scott (Julie) Strzyzewski, Corona de Tucson, AZ; Jeffrey (Estela) Strzyzewski, Romeoville, IL; and Todd (Kari) Strzyzewski, Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Tyler (Danielle) Strzyzewski, Brock (Shelly) Strzyzewski, Erek Strzyzewski, Amanda Strzyzewski, and Logan Strzyzewski; six great grandchildren, Owen, Bryson, Corbin, Kipton, Micah, and Rhea; her sister: Nancy Strzyzewski; and her brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Mary Anne Wegner and Roger (Mary) Strzyzewski. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lynne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Ronald; one daughter in infancy, Connie; her brother: John Breivogel; and two brothers-in-law: John Strzyzewski and Harvey Wegner.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, 916 Pine Street, Manitowoc. Following the service, burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth. A luncheon will follow at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials in Lynne's name to Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.
