Mae L. Tisler, age 94, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, October 5, 2018 at the Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mae was born on June 23, 1924 in the town of Kossuth, Manitowoc County. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mamie Naidl Yanda. On June 25, 1941 she married Edward Tisler at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Kellnersville. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1979. Mae was employed at the Manitowoc Health Care Center working in the kitchen until the time of her retirement. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw and a member of the Christian Mothers of the parish, the Daughters of Isabella and the Mystical Rose Circle #372. Mae also was a member of the Wisconsin Czech's.
She is survived by her children: Glenn (Genevieve) Tisler, Green Bay; Marilyn (Richard) Tovsen, Houston, Texas; Patricia (Tony) Baumann, Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Randy Tovsen, Cypress, TX; Edward (Sheila) Tovsen, Wheaton, IL; Angela (Kevin) Paetzel, Dallas, TX; Andy Baumann, Washington, DC; Emily Baumann, Durham, NC; Casey Tisler, Green Bay; Steven Tisler, Green Bay; four great grandchildren: Trent (Bridget) Tovsen, Wheaton, IL; Luke Tovsen, Wheaton, IL; Audrey Paetzel, Dallas, TX; and Hailey Paetzel, Dallas, TX; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mamie Yanda; husband: Edward; siblings: Anna (Elmer) Troullier, Agnes (Raymond) Nesper, Marcella (Victor) Shavlik, Jospeh (Evelyn) Yanda; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law: Victor (Anna) Tisler and Daniel Tisler.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial to follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery in Whitelaw. Relatives and friends may call at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Whitelaw on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
