Marcella A. Masiak, age 94, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, and formerly of 2008 A. Madison Street, Manitowoc entered into eternal life on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.
Marcy was born on November 22, 1916 in Manitowoc to the late Frank and Mary Chalupny Lishka. On September 5, 1939, Marcy married Florian Masiak at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Florian preceded her in death on October 12, 1995. Marcy was employed with National Tinsel Company for many years. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and listening to old time music. Marcy was a member of the former St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc, and currently of St. Francis of Assisi.
Survivors include her son: Ronald (Joanne) Masiak, Manitowoc; daughter: Janice (Eugene) Jansky, Manitowoc; 5 grandchildren: Jennifer (Robert) Rogler, Torrey Masiak, Jeff Masiak, Terry (Lori) Jansky, and Timothy (Debra) Jansky; 3 great grandchildren: Kristin Jansky, Logan Rogler, and Gabreille Rogler; sister: Evelyn (Richard) Kujawa, Green Bay; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marcy was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Mary Lishka; her husband: Florian; and 2 sisters: Helen Walters and Caroline Walesh.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at St. Francis of Assisi – Marshall from 10 am until the beginning of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will officiate with entombment to follow at Calvary Mausoleum.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
