September 1, 1947 – January 23, 2025
Margaret "Peggy" Anne Murray, age 77, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family following a battle with Glioblastoma.
She was born September 1, 1947 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Gloria (Wagner) Murray. Peggy attended Washington High School in Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1965. She was employed with Cawley Company of Manitowoc for over 40 years until her retirement in June of 2014. Peggy was the queen of shopping, and enjoyed finding deals on QVC. She put many miles on her bike, riding to and from work as well as her many shopping trips. Peggy also enjoyed the holidays, especially planning her Easter egg hunts. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Peggy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Kim and Mark "Goob" Brennan; two grandchildren: Jordan (Erin) Brennan and Lindsey (Stetson) McCulley; three great-grandchildren: Riviera, Lettie, and Walker; her siblings: Marcie Bierman (special friend John), Mack Murray, Marie Mabrey (special friend Jim), Mace (Laura) Murray, and Matthew Murray (special friend Jamie); as well as her beloved dog Zeea. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Gloria Murray; grandson: Alex; siblings: Mike (Connie) Murray and Mark Murray; and niece: Colleen Murray.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and a memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Deacon Steve Zimmer. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the southside property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you the staff of HomeCare Health Services and Hospice, especially her nurse Nikki, Dr. Davis and the staff of Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin, Dr. Kruger and the Neurosurgery staff at St. Vincent Hospital, and Dr. Jennifer Connelly and the staff at Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin – Menomonee Falls Cancer Center. A special thank you to all family and friends for the love and support especially Nikki, Val, Brianna, Jenny, Jackie, Katie, Marie, Marcie, Laura, and Mace, as well as her two wonderful neighbors: Cathy and Ron, for the care and compassion they have shown to Peggy and her family.
Mom, I want you to know when God made you my mother, he already knew who I needed. When he picked you from the others he could already see that you would be my hero and everything I would ever need.
