Obituary

Margaret Schisel, age 83, a resident at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of 2302 County Road S, Cato, entered into eternal life Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center surrounded by her husband and eight children.

Margaret was born on June 27, 1928 at Maple Grove, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Paul J. and Margaret Long Mangin. Margaret worked on the family farm while raising her nine children. On November 20, 1946 she married Orie Schisel at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Maple Grove. Margaret was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw, WI. She was very proud of her Irish heritage. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her husband Orie at their second home on Schisel's Lake.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Orie; eight children: Darlene (Keith) Bergene, Manitowoc; Pat Christianson and her fiancé Jerry Hoefner, Manitowoc; Judy (Rollie) Kania, Manitowoc; Donald (Janelle) Schisel, Cato; Marie (Dwight) Faber, Manitowoc; Barb (Randy) Schmitt, Manitowoc; Peggy (Rick) Halverson, Valders; David (Debbie) Schisel, Chilton; twenty five grandchildren: Brian, Jason, Missy; Steve. Tanya, Jill and Kim; Tom, Bonnie, Brenda and Becky; Travis and Kari; Tammy, Scott and Stacy; Robert, Kristina, Ashley and Ross; Spencer and Sadie; Brandon, Austin and Jauger; twenty two great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law: Marion Mangin, Lillian Mangin and Marion Mull; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Richard Schisel in 1970; three brothers: Mike, George and Paul Mangin; two sisters: Lorraine Eiles and Elizabeth Massman; one son-in-law: Wayne Bratz.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 12, 2012 at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Whitelaw, WI. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated be Rev. David Zimmerman with burial to follow at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at St. Michael's Catholic Church on Sunday, March 11, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 6:30 lead by Rev. David Zimmerman. The visitation will continue at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
