Marian L. Schmitt, age 71, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at her residence.

Marian was born on September 22, 1943 in Manitowoc. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1961. On November 18, 1961, Marian married Tom Schmitt St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. Marian worked for Holy Family Memorial Medical Center as a billing specialist for many years. She enjoyed spending her time baking, playing bingo, and being with her son, family and friends.

Survivors include Marian's husband: Tom Sr., son: Tom Schmitt Jr., Manitowoc; also other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. Dave Beaudry will officiate with burial to follow at Knollwood Memorial Gardens. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com.
