Kollross
July 24, 1941 – October 2, 2025
Marilyn Ann Kollross passed away peacefully at St. Mary's Felician Village on October 2, 2025, at age 84. She was born on July 24, 1941 in Green Bay to Caroline (Linzmeier) and Anton Kollross. She went to St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay and graduated second in her Class of 1959 from Luxemburg High School. She went on to attend St. Norbert College in DePere and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English, cum laude, in 1963. After that, she took classes in Theology at Marquette University in Milwaukee. Marilyn came to Manitowoc and worked at Mirro Aluminum. Later, she was employed at the Manitowoc County Clerk's Office for 20 years. She also was a health companion to the elderly and worked at Book World in Manitowoc for many years. She was a longtime member of the Manitowoc Two Rivers Business and Professional Women and served as Secretary and Treasurer, and one year earned the Woman of the Year Award. Marilyn was also a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. She enjoyed traveling and visited all 48 contiguous states. She loved going to the theater and enjoyed sharing a good meal out with friends. Marilyn was also an expert shopper.
Marilyn is survived by her sisters Carol (Jerry) Snow and Joan (Marvin) Lambrecht; and nieces and nephews Ann Halverson, Sue Dragotta, and Doug, Jennifer, and David Lambrecht.
The family wishes to thank Marilyn's close friend Rosie Eisner and her family -- especially Ann, Dan, Pat, and Zip, friends Kathy and Dennis Scherer, the staff of Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, and the care team at St. Mary's.
Visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi, Waldo Site, 1121 N. 14th St., Manitowoc, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. A luncheon will follow at Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 N. Water St., Manitowoc. Burial will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Luxemburg, WI at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in memory of Marilyn are appreciated to St. Francis of Assisi Parish.
Marilyn was known to be a loving and sweet person who always had a smile to share. A devoted Catholic, she inspired all who knew her with her passionate faith, which she lived out every day throughout her life.
