Obituary

Marilyn I. Rosenbauer, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc and formerly of Osman, entered into eternal life on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Marilyn was born on January 11, 1932 in Manitowoc to the late Erhardt and Ethel Evenson Schrank. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1950. Marilyn was employed with Silver Lake College and later with the U.S. Postal Service as a rural carrier for many years. She had a great love for animals, enjoyed bowling, golfing, camping, visiting Las Vegas, spending time at Cedar Lake, and being with her family and close friends. Marilyn was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include Marilyn's four children: Cindy (Paul) Stephani, Gary (Dorothy) Rosenbauer, Tracie (Tom) Wurm, and Jodi (Dale) Hibbard, all of Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Chris (Shann) Stephani, Cory Stephani, Leigh (Jason) Kraemer, Thomas Wurm II, Donovan Hibbard, Kyle Lea Rosenbauer, Cassidy Hibbard, Carson Hibbard, and Seever Hibbard; one sister: Elaine Muck, Manitowoc; very special friends Alice and Joe Konopacki, Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother-in-law: Dewey Muck; also her beloved poodles: Fifi and Noki.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday, June 21, 2010 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc from 9:30 A.M. until the beginning of the funeral service at 10:30 A.M. Rev. Benjamin Schaefer will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all of the CNAs and nurses for the care they provided to Marilyn over the past several years. Also, a special thank you to Rahlf Proulx and all the staff of Holy Family Memorial for their compassion to Marilyn and her family in her final hours.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc Lutheran High School, or the Manitowoc Humane Society.
