Marilynn Marie Behmer, age 84, of Manitowoc entered eternal life on August 20, 2022.
Marilynn was born on August 1, 1938 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Leona (Holtz) Schley. She lived in Whitelaw and attended Valders High School. After High School she worked at Mirro Aluminum in Manitowoc. On June 20, 1959 she married Raymond P. Behmer at St. John & St. James Ev. Lutheran Church in Reedsville and moved to the Detroit area where Ray was a designer for Ford Motor Company. They spent over 30 years in Michigan and lived in Melbourne, Australia for three years and had fun traveling to many different countries with Ray. They moved back to Manitowoc in 1993 and were members at First German Lutheran Church.
Marilynn enjoyed volunteering with the Church and loved to sing in the church choir. Marilynn was known by her Grandkids as "Cookie Grandma". She enjoyed visiting with everyone and especially having good conversations over a hot cup of coffee.
Marilynn is survived by her three children: Susan Bergemann, Woodbury MN; Darrell (Kimberly) Behmer, Harbor Springs, MI; Mark (Linda) Behmer, Sandy, UT; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Marilynn was preceded in death by her husband Ray of 40 years and her sister Eunice.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at First German Lutheran Church, 1033 S. 8 th Street, Manitowoc, with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Jacob Hoff. Following the services, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at First German Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
