Obituary

Marion I. Levendoski Gossen, age 96, a Manitowoc resident, entered eternal life on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Marion was born on October 11, 1919 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Emma Kirschofski Wiesner. Marion married Walter Levendoski on November 27, 1943 in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1968. She later married Lloyd W. Gossen on February 23, 1974 in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1997. For several years she was employed by Woytal's Grocery in Manitowoc Rapids and later with Copps Food Center. Marion enjoyed many activities including dancing with the Happy Hoppers, playing cards, walking, and traveling. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, the St. Clare Society, and the Manitowoc Senior Center.

She is survived by five children: James (Cheryl) Levendoski, Ocala, FL; Joann (Robert) Hanson, Mary (Peter) Tegelman, Donald Levendoski, and Gary (Mary Gospodarek) Levendoski, all of Manitowoc; six stepchildren: Karon (Jerry) Vande Hei, Green Bay; Gail (Dennis) Moeller, Pulaski; Peter (Eileen) Gossen, Sobieski; Sarah (Keith) Vander Velden, Kaukauna; Amy (Mark) List, DePere; John (Kathleen) Gossen, Green Bay; one brother: Raymond (DeLores) Wiesner, Woodbury, MN; grandchildren and great grandchildren: Tom (Barb) Hanson and their children, Jamie Lynn Hanson and friend, Riley Mantyh, and Brady Hanson; Paula (Chris) Czekala and their children, Anika and Owen Czekala; Cheryl (Michael) Landstrom and their children, Sarah and Madison Landstrom, Jill (Charlie) Benson, Angela Levendoski, Michael (Christina) Levendoski, and Michael (Shawn) Levendoski and their children, Zack with the United States Navy, Nickolas, and Emily Lynn; one step son-in-law: Gary Lumaye; two sisters-in-law: Elaine (Warren) Steffen and Lorraine Hill; special friend: Leonard Schuh; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband: Walter Levendoski; second husband: Lloyd Gossen; one son: Robert Levendoski; three stepchildren: Judy Lumaye, William Gossen, Sharon (Gerald) Novoselatz; one grandson: Chad Levendoski, one brother: Harold (Agnes) (Elinor) Wiesner; two sisters: Lorraine (William) Lallensack and Grace (Roman) Vetter; three brothers-in-law: Matt (Etta) Levendoski, John Levendoski, and Leo (Delores) Mrozinski; one sister-in-law: Violet (Harry) Woznick.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Following the funeral services there will be a luncheon for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at River Wood Place for the special care that was given to our mother while she resided there.
