Obituary

Marjorie A. LeClair, age 91, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center.

Marge was born on August 3, 1926 in Menchalville to the late William and Agnes (Kocian) Frolick. She was proud of her Bohemian heritage. She grew up on the family farm with one sister and three brothers. The family moved to the city of Manitowoc and Marge attended County Normal School, Wilson Junior High School and Manitowoc Vocational School.

In 1946, Marge married Edward Jerabek and they had a son, Dennis Edward.

On November 13, 1964, Marge married Leo "Mose" LeClair (a patient and loving partner) and they had a daughter, Kelly Ann. Leo worked as a bridge tender for Manitowoc and his girls enjoyed visiting the bridge house. Marge's greatest joy in life was to be a mother and wife. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her family. Many a good time and holiday dinner was held at their home on Herman Road. She often received compliments on her famous sauerkraut and dumplings.  Her baking was phenomenal and nobody left her home without a full belly and many laughs.

Marge had various jobs where she could work and talk. Marge was a talker and always had something to say. She greatly enjoyed meeting people and finding out what made them tick. Early in life, she worked in sales at Kresges and North End Drug (winning a sales award in cosmetics). She became a waitress in the late 70's at Kabat's Country Gardens and worked at the Colonial Inn in the 80's. She had regular customers who enjoyed her sense of humor and even received a $50 tip from one of her regulars.

In 1983, Marge, being her feisty self, put up a fight and beat cancer. She retired then and concentrated her efforts on going to rummage sales (especially looking for chickens to add to her collection). She enjoyed keeping up with family and friends, having her annual rummage sale and listening to country music. She was a huge fan of Johnny Cash. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter Kelly who was her greatest fan, friend and caretaker.

Survivors include Marge's son, Dennis (Margaret) Jerabek, Athelstane; daughter, Kelly (T.J.) Schneider, Manitowoc; step-daughter, Sharon (Lonnie) Puskala, Brillion; grandchildren, Kathy (Eric) Gyorko, Brian (Lori) Orth, Craig (Andria) Orth, Jason Jerabek, Jeff (Jenny) Jerabek, Brenna Schneider and Brad Schneider; and great grandchildren: Jocelyn, Dara, Jared, Rachel, Courtney, Zachary, Zane, Hunter, Logan and Macy. She will also be missed by her loyal companion, Annabella, and her granddog, Lexie Ann. Also other relatives and friends survive. Marge was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo; and siblings, Mary Jean, William (Bill) Jr., Celestine, John (Jack) and Robert (Bob; and grandson Kevin Orth.
