Marshall J. Pratt, age 83, of 2454 Paul Road, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Marshall was born March 8, 1928 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late John and Edna Bean Pratt. Marshall attended Lincoln High School and then entered the United States Army serving overseas in Germany during World War II and then also serving overseas in Korea. After being honorably discharged, Marshall returned to Manitowoc and became employed with Mirro Aluminum from where he later retired. On June 20, 1953 he married Muriel Klinkner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Marshall was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Amvets Post #99 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. Marshall was an avid Green Bay Packer football fan and enjoyed fly fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Muriel; three sons: Ronald (Joan) Pratt; Dave Pratt (Mary Vieau); Jon (Debra) Pratt; all of Manitowoc; seven grandchildren: Brad, Brooke, Rachelle, Jason, Tara, Amanda and Mark; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Edna Pratt; three sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Klingeisen with military rites accorded immediately following the mass by the Amvets Post #99. Entombment will take place at Calvary Mausoleum, Manitowoc. Relatives and friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. The visitation will continue at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, Wednesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at 10:00.
