Mary Pat Comfort, age 74, a resident of 4203 Rock Street, Manitowoc entered into eternal life on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Mary Pat was born on April 27, 1936 in Milwaukee to the late Michael and Theresa Lukacek Thoney. She began her working career as a candy striper in Milwaukee, and later had worked in the medical field until her retirement from Holy
Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc. Mary Pat enjoyed spending her time gardening, decorating, reading, keeping journals, and being with her family and friends. She was a devout Catholic and very strong in her faith.

Survivors include her sons: Patrick Comfort, Sheboygan; Michael (Carrie) Comfort, Sheboygan; one brother: Michael Thoney, Chicago; also other relatives and friends. Mary Pat was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister: Sally Thoney.

The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi – Marshall on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 10 am until the beginning of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Rev. Richard Klingeisen will officiate.

The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, N. 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.

Mary Pat's family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Edward Barylak and his entire staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic for the care they provided to Mary Pat and her family.

In lieu of flowers, the family would request any memorials to be sent to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Two Rivers.
