Mary E. Lippert, age 66, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc with her family by her side.
Mary was born on March 31, 1948 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Rita Willott Bohacek. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1966. Mary then continued her education at Holy Family School of Nursing from 1966 until she received her nursing diploma in 1969. On November 8, 1969, Mary married Dennis A. Lippert at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She was employed at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for 45 years until her retirement in February of 2014. Mary enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, reading, and spending time with her family and friends – especially her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
Survivors include Mary's husband of 45 years: Dennis; three children: Tim (Dana) Lippert, Green Bay, WI; Becky (Jim) Landon, Manitowoc, WI; Brenda (John) Klein, Manitowoc, WI; nine grandchildren: Colton, Danielle, and Anna Lippert; Brent and Elizabeth Landon; Justin and Dylan Klein, Kayla (Kory) Pieper, Stephanie Klein and her fiance' Caleb Madson; her siblings: Kathy (Bill) Wingfield, Denver, CO; her twin brother: Tom "Bo" (Linda) Bohacek, Manitowoc, WI; Sue (Joe) Resch, Whitelaw, WI; father-in-law: Ray Lippert and his companion Vera Liermann, Manitowoc, WI; nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends and her pet Gracie.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand-1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Beaudry. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday, January 26, 2015 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. there will be a Nightingale Tribute followed by a prayer service which will be led by Chaplin John Vincent. The visitation will continue at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Grand Avenue on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held for family and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation will take place at a later date at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Mary's cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery. The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to friends, co-workers and doctors on 5th floor and the Cancer Care Center at Holy Family Memorial for the loving care and compassion shown to Mary and her family. Also special recognition is conveyed to Mary's two daughters, Becky and Brenda, Mary's special angels that cared for her day and night while their Mom was a patient at Holy Family Memorial.
