Mary J. Lutz's Obituary
Mary J. Lutz, age 89, a resident of the Hannah Home, 4025 Delta Street, Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Hannah Home.
Mary was born on September 10, 1920 in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria Powietrzynski Alkonis. Mary attended Washington High School in Two Rivers and graduated with the class of 1939. She had been employed at the Belle Dress Shop and JC Penny Company. Mary married Oliver C. Lutz in Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 1979. She was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
She is survived by her six nieces: Mary Glischinski, Manitowoc; Felicia Springstube, Two Rivers, WI; Patricia Mayer, Green Bay, WI; Barbara and Hector Chamberlain, Judy Waligorski and Linnea Sidl all of Colorado; two nephews: Joseph (Karen) Glischinski, Hales Corners, WI; Robert Mayer, Two Rivers, WI; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Michael D. Lutz, August 29, 2005; one brother: Stanley Alkonis; three sisters: Antionette Almeida, Bernice Mayer and Sophia Glischinski.
Graveside services will be held on 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010 at Knollwood Cemetery, 1500 Highway 310, Manitowoc with Deacon Paul Kieffer officiating.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
