Mary Ann (Nething) Propson, age 61,of rural Two Rivers, entered God's Kingdom on Saturday evening, September 30, 2016, at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center in Manitowoc.
Mary was born February 17, 1955 in Manitowoc. She was the daughter of Margaret Stahl Nething and the late John Nething.
Mary put into her own words the following thoughts she wanted to express to her family and friends.
" I married the love of my life, Leroy John Propson on February 16, 1980. I worked in the medical field for 35 years and then retired. On my journey into God's Kingdom my family was with me to give me a kiss, a hug, and held my hand. As I fell asleep from my families arms into the Lords arms, I am now with my father, John Nething, my little baby brother Terry who was five years old when he passed, my dear aunt Rose who was my angel on earth, my dear uncle Bill who was a saint to me. Every person impacted my life greatly. We are now united once again, I call this a Circle of Life. When we are young, we don't know the future, we don't realize the path that we are going to embark on. We just have to be good people and be kind to one another. Just a smile to someone you don't know, believe in a higher power, in whatever you choose.
I asked God for true love, he gave me you, my husband Leroy. I asked for a daughter, my beautiful Julie. God blessed me with you-you are my everything that is good in the world. I am always with you! To my son-in-law, Eric Lightbody, you are so special to our family, we have so much to be grateful for-and you're the blessing that entered our family tree. We love you. We have two more blessings that God has given us, our grandchildren. Our little granddaughter, Harmony Faith, who loves to bake and dance. Our little Noah John who loves basketball and is an excellent runner. They are the twinkle that makes me realize it doesn't get better than this. Our lives are so filled with love and laughter-playing tricks on each other and most of all hide and seek. Harmony and Noah you are my special stars and I love you both so very very much. I will also be with you in your heart, you are a part of me living on, it's called family-and I'm your Grammy. I'm so blessed for the life that was given to me. God has been good to me and for my family. God is great, believe in His power and his angels as they are all around us. Heaven is a beautiful place. I'm smiling on all of you so don't cry. I've had a wonderful life because of you, my family. I love you all so very much.
And when tomorrow starts without me and I'm not there to see if the sun should rise and find your eyes are filled with tears for me
I wish so much you wouldn't cry
but smile a little smile for me
God has chosen, please don't cry,
wipe your eyes, I'm okay, I know how much you love me
As much as I love you.
When tomorrow starts without me
Don't think we're far apart
for every time you think of me
I'm always in your heart
So please no more tears, dry your eyes and smile,
our memories will live on,
our angles will surround you with so much love
just embrace it and sing and give thanks.
I want to say thank you to our extended families for their support, love, and giving us inspiration along with all of our brothers, sisters, and their families. Also to all of our special friends and their families, and of course our hunting buddies and their families. We love every single one of you. I've had a wonderful life because of all of you! My journey is done-on earth. Love forever. Until we meet again,
Love, Mary "
