Mary M. Schilder, age 67, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
Mary was born on July 29, 1954 in Sheboygan to the late Jerry and Barbara (Renzelmann) Schrimpf. She graduated from Sheboygan South High School with the class of 1972. After graduating from Lakeshore Technical College in their Supervisory Management Program, Mary went on to work at St. Nicholas Hospital, Lakeshore Technical College, and Holy Family Memorial Medical Center. She was also passionate about volunteering. Many times Mary began as a member before working her way to top positions within the organizations she served. She was past President of Manitowoc Citizens Academy Alumni, Chair of the Manitowoc Crime Prevention Committee, board member of the Manitowoc Police and Fire Commission, board member of Howards Grove Fire and Rescue Departments, and the Wisconsin EMS Board of Directors.
Survivors include Mary's long time partner and husband, Larry Te Stroete, Manitowoc; two daughters, Kristy Verhage, Sheboygan, and Martha (Tim) Price, Neenah; three grandchildren, AJ, Brandon, and Logan Price; sister, Jerolyn (Dion) Schaff, Buena Vista, VA; brother, Jay (Terry) Schrimpf, Grand Rapids, MI; sister-in-law, Mary Tryggeseth, Sheboygan; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Barbara Schrimpf; and brother, Greg Schrimpf.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Officiating will be Mary's brother, Pastor Jay Schrimpf. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
