Mathew Joseph Mauhar Jr., cast his final line into the great waters of eternity on February 22, 2024, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin.

Born in Milwaukee on September 9, 1958, Matt tackled life with a mix of headstrong determination and a hearty chuckle, always ready to reel in a good time. Mathew was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished his family above all else. He had a passion for fishing, cooking, listening to music, watching old shows, and was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan. Mathew spent the majority of his life working in construction and roofing.

Despite his stubborn nature, he had a heart of gold for his daughters, Tracy and Amanda Mauhar along with Jennifer and Tina Keizer, as well as his many beloved grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Goldie Mauhar, father, Mathew Mauhar Sr., brother, John Mauhar Sr., brother, Steve Mauhar Sr., and sister, Bonnie Mauhar Lutz.

Mathew will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services. The family invites those who knew Mathew to remember him in their own way, perhaps by enjoying a peaceful day by the water or a cherished old song, celebrating the simple joys he so loved.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, Manitowoc, Wisconsin.
