Matthew S. Kelker, a beloved son, devoted father, and cherished friend, passed away on June 28, 2023, in Kiel, Wisconsin, at the age of 48. He was born on June 6, 1975, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Judy E. Loew and the late Stephen M. Kelker. Matthew's life was characterized by a sense of duty, dedication, and a genuine love for his family.

After graduating from Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Matthew felt called to serve his country and enlisted in the United States Navy. He served with pride and honor on the U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower, making a lasting impact on the lives of those around him. Matthew's time in the Navy instilled in him a strong work ethic, discipline, and a deep appreciation for teamwork.

Following his military service, Matthew pursued his passion for technology and earned a degree in computer science from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. Armed with his newfound knowledge, he embarked on a successful career, working at Marinette Marine, Nielsen, and James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. Matthew's expertise and dedication made him a valued professional in his field.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Matthew found joy and solace in his hobbies. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace in the quiet serenity of nature's waters. Music held a special place in his heart, and he found solace and inspiration in its melodies. Additionally, Matthew enjoyed biking, relishing the freedom and adventure it offered.

One of Matthew's greatest gifts was his sense of humor, which brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His contagious laughter and quick wit made him a joy to be around, brightening the lives of his friends and family. Matthew had a special fondness for children and embraced the role of father with love and devotion. His daughter, Mattie Kelker, held a cherished place in his heart.

Matthew is survived by his beloved daughter, Mattie, loving mother, Judy Loew, and his caring stepmother, Roxanne Kelker. He will be deeply missed by his sister and best friend, Stephanie Novosad, and his nephew, Samuel (Alexa) Voss, and niece, Ali (Jon Nelson) Voss. Matthew also leaves behind his great-nephews, Sawyer and Theo Nelson. He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Stephen M. Kelker, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms, and stillborn sister, Jeanette Mildred Kelker.

In honor of Matthew's military service, military rites will be held at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery on Friday, September 22, 2023 at 11 a.m. His legacy of dedication, love, and laughter will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
