Matthew T. Kent, age 39, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at his home.

He was born October 7, 1983 in Scottsdale, Arizona, son of Edward Kent and Patricia (Groblewski) Kent. Matthew attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 2003. He was a skilled carpenter and loved music, especially playing the guitar. Matt was quiet and soft spoken, and he was deeply loved by his family and many friends.

Survivors include one son: Jaxson Kent; mother: Patricia Kent; father: Edward Kent; two brothers: Ryan and Jonathan Kent; two nieces: Lily and Ruby Kent; one nephew: Brayden Kent; and the mother of his son: Melissa Kent. Other relatives and many friends also survive.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory, Manitowoc, and private family services will be held.
