Mavis D. McKane, age 94, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Laurel Grove Assisted Living in Manitowoc.

Mavis was born on September 20, 1926 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Trumbull Kunz.  Mavis graduated from high school in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  She was employed with Chicago Rawhide in Elgin, Illinois from 1962 until she retired in 1988.  Mavis loved to do needlepoint and enjoyed reading and gardening with her flowers.  As a child, Mavis love to perform tap dancing for the military service men and women who were stationed at the Ellsworth Air Force Base.

She is survived by three children, Linda Gibson, Highland Park, IL, Michael McKane, Vernon Hill, IL, and Patricia McKane, Manitowoc; five grandchildren, Shawn (Kathy) Gibson, Shannon (Joe) Giampa, Spencer (Cassandra) Pasternak, Codie (Ben) Molnar, and Kellie McKane; seven great grandchildren, Natasha Gibson, Rylan Gibson, Garrett Gibson, Barrett Molnar, Cannon Molnar, Spencer Pasternak, and Madison Haese; along with other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be no visitation or memorial service held.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences to the family may be sent to www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
