Michael M. Amato, age 50, a resident of Manitowoc, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2021.

Mike was born on July 10, 1970 in Manitowoc to Sandra (Vassilew) and the late Mark Amato.  He attended Lincoln High School.  Mike was an artist and poet.  He was self-employed while selling his dream catchers, jewelry, and other crafts he created.  Mike enjoyed bowling, rollerblading, cooking, bonfires (while howling at the moon), camping, and above all, spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include Mike's mother, Sandy (Rickey) Haupt; four siblings, Joe (Lynn) Amato, Shannon Schmidt, Ryan (Michelle) Haupt, and Nicole (Dominic) Haupt, all of Manitowoc; two step-brothers, R.J. (Natasha) and Riley (Loredana) Haupt; step-mother, Margie Amato, Mequon; two half-brothers, Dominic and Austin Amato; special friend, Joyce Emond; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Mike was preceded in death by his father, Mark Amato; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.

A Life Celebration Social for family and friends will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
