Michael Robert Duvall
Michael went on to be with his Lord and Savior October 29, 2026. He was born in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, on October 18, 1949, to the late Francis J. (Babe) Duvall and Verna M. (Freidenberger) Duvall. He attended St. Luke’s Catholic Grade School in Two Rivers and graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers, with the class of 1968.
In September of that same year, Michael answered the call of duty and joined the United States Army for 3 years. In that time, he served as an Infantry soldier with the 25th Infantry Division, 2nd/12th Infantry in South Vietnam from March 17, 1969, through March 16, 1970. While in combat, Michael received the Purple Heart, an Airmen’s medal, and 3 Army Accommodations, one with a ‘V’ device. After his tour in Vietnam, he was stationed in Augsburg, Germany, from April 1970 until his honorable discharge on September 28, 1971, with the rank of Sergeant (E-5). In August of 1973 Michael married the former Cheryl A. Spaeth at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Throughout his life he worked at a variety of jobs. In October of 1990 Michael married the Love of his Life the former Toni K. Bloch at Twinn Cities Baptist Church in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. He and Toni shared everything together. They had a passion for road trips and took them often. They also liked spending their time together gambling and shopping and eating out. They both enjoyed their children, grand, and great grandkids very, very much. Being soul mates and having such a love for each other and relying on Jesus strengthened their marriage. Michael is also a charter member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 731 in Manitowoc. Yard work and his workshop is where he spent lots of his spare retirement time.
He is survived by his wife, Toni, of 36 wonderful years, his son: Jason (Alanna) Duvall and their children Emily (Bryce) Reimer, Michael Duvall, and Olivia Duvall; his daughter: Angela Standafer (Zach), and their sons Dean and Wyatt; daughter: Kelly De Caro (Eric), and their son Alex; granddaughter: Hollie (David) Keller; great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Thomas, Henry, Evelyn, Connor, and Louis; step-daughter: Tammy (Martin) Vogel, and their children Luke, Samuel, and Clare; brother: Russell Duvall of Two Rivers, and his sister: Mary (Scott) Cordy of New Holstein.
He is preceded in death by his parents Francis (Babe) Duvall, his mother Verna (Friedenberger) Duvall, son Shane J. Duvall, brother Thomas F. Duvall, and his step-son Shawn Bloch.
Cremation has taken place and Michael will be laid to rest at Knollwood Memorial Park in the Veterans section at a later date.
