Obituary

Michael Craig Rozmiarek, 67, of Manitowoc, passed away at his home on Saturday, September 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Mike was born on February 9, 1958, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Clemence and Elsie (Kwapnioski) Rozmiarek. He was raised in a loving family and grew to be a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Mike worked throughout college at Guy's Potato Chips while completing his bachelor's degree in engineering at the University of Nebraska in Omaha. Following graduation, he began his professional career with The Coleman Company in Wichita, Kansas, where he also started a master's degree in business administration at Wichita State University. While at Coleman, he served as both a member and officer for their Society of Manufacturing Engineers.

It was in Wichita that Mike met the love of his life, Kay, and the two were married in Las Vegas on April 2, 1994. From Kansas, Mike and Kay moved to Southern California for Mike's position with Price Pfister. In the year they lived in Southern California, they survived the San Fernando Valley earthquake, before relocating to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. There, they welcomed their daughter Melissa, and Mike began work for what is now Parker Hannifin, managing the customs unit in their hydraulics plant.

Mike was a man of many passions. Family, both blood and chosen, was a mainstay in his life. He was known for his generosity, woodworking, gardening, and do-it-yourself projects. There was not a project that he wouldn't take on! His daughter fondly remembers that food was his love language—even when he didn't have the right words, he could always be counted on to provide a comforting meal to keep both you and your refrigerator full.

He was also an avid outdoorsman, spending countless hours hunting, fishing, and sharing his love of conservation with others. Mike gave back to his community by teaching hunter education and safety courses at his local gun club, ensuring future generations would appreciate the outdoors as much as he did.

Mike is survived by his wife of 31 years, Kay Rozmiarek of Manitowoc; his daughter, Melissa Rozmiarek of St. Louis Park, MN; his siblings, Sharon (Rozmiarek) Holm of Fountain, CO, and Tom and Carol (Kozoil) Rozmiarek of Story City, IA, among many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clem and Elsie Rozmiarek; a brother-in-law, Don Holm; a niece, Debra Holm; a nephew, Shawn Riley; as well as aunts, uncles, and grandparents.

Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory. A Life Celebration will be held by Mike's family at a later date.
