Michela Margaret Evans, 91, of Manitowoc, formerly of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 20, 1930 to the late Gnazio and Agatina (Laporta) Batiato.  Michela grew up and attended Catholic schools in Chicago.  In addition to caring for her family she worked as a custodian.  Michela enjoyed cooking, especially soups, and playing Bingo.  She loved to spend time with her family.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Michelle Ratulowski of Sheboygan; great-granddaughter, Gracie Ratulowski of Sheboygan; son-in-law, Rick Ratulowski of Manitowoc; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her sons, James and Arthur Evans; daughter, Margaret Ratulowski; and parents, Gnazio and Agatina Batiato.

Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.  Private burial of the urn will take place at a later date in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com .
