Michael C. Luebke, age 68, a resident of Two Rivers, entered eternal life on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family.
Mike was born on September 7, 1949 in Manitowoc to the late Corwain and Esther Schultz Luebke. He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1967. On November 18, 1978, Mike married Cathy Christoffel at Calvary Lutheran Church in Two Rivers. He had worked as the Recreation Supervisor for the City of Two Rivers for 38 ½ years. Mike was very proud of the community programs he ran and supervised, ensuring fairness and fun for everyone that participated. He loved to coach and was active in coaching youth teams in basketball, football and baseball for 20 years. Mike was a proud member of the Pinkeye Hirsch Jagd deer camp for 38 years. He raised rabbit hunting Beagles, was an avid outdoorsman, fly fisherman, and enjoyed tying flies. Above all, Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow up.
Survivors include Mike's wife of 38 years, Cathy; three sons, Brent Luebke and his significant other, Jolene Szucs, Menasha; Broc Luebke, Two Rivers; and Anthony Meyer and his significant other, Samantha Pinchart, Denmark; two daughters, Brooke Luebke and her significant other Tobias Briscoe, Milwaukee; and Brynn Luebke and her significant other, Damion Forrest, Two Rivers; three grandchildren, Tabby Luebke, Aiyana Blaha-Luebke, and Avaya Luebke-Meyer; brother, Keith (Beverly) Luebke, Wisconsin Rapids; three sisters, Marilyn (Helge) Madsen, Maribel; Patti (Tom) Quistorf, Two Rivers, and Lorrie (Ron) Reif, Mishicot; father-in-law, William Christoffel, Two Rivers; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; other relatives; and all of his life-long "northwoods" hunting and fishing friends. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Corwain and Esther Luebke; and mother-in-law, Darlene Christoffel.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The service will be led by neighbor and life-long family friend, Gary LeClair. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m., and also on Monday from 2:30 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 4 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com

Throughout Mike's lengthy illness, he remained strong, positive, humble, kind, and always continued to put other people first. He was consistently grateful for his family and friends who supported him on his journey.
