Mildred "Milly" D. Schimmel, age 85, formerly of Francis Creek, entered into eternal life on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Artisan Senior Living in Manitowoc.

Milly was born on October 29, 1931 in Iron Mountain, MI to the late Matthias and Rose Parent Paquette. She graduated from Kingsford High School with the class of 1948. On November 26, 1952, Milly married Robert P. Schimmel at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2004. Milly was the long time General Manager at Fox Hills Resort and Convention Center in Mishicot. She enjoyed spending her time cooking and above all, being with her family.

Survivors include Milly's son, Terry (Debra) Schimmel, Manitowoc; daughter, Penny (Jeff) Alderton, Appleton; five grandchildren, Melissa (Taylor) Greenwood, Kyle Alderton, Alexa Schimmel and her fiancé Miles Iverson, Andrew Harrigan, and Lindsay Harrigan; three great grandchildren, Nona Greenwood, Jada Mellberg, and Evan Wochos; life long friend and neighbor, June Katzka; also other relatives and friends. Milly was preceded in death by her parents, Matthias and Rose Paquette; husband, Bob; and brother, Vernon Paquette.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Rev. John Becker will officiate with entombment to take place at Knollwood Mausoleum. Following the funeral service, a luncheon will be held at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Fuenral Home on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon.
