Monica A. Kahl, age 64, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life while surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, November 2, 2018 at her residence.

Monica was born on September 13, 1954 in Manitowoc to the late Bernard and Miriam Baird Luchsinger.  She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1972 and then went on to obtain her degree in nursing from Lakeshore Technical College.  Monica was employed at Holy Family Convent and had been working there for over 30 years.  She enjoyed spending her time watching the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, singing karaoke, and being with her orange fur babies.  Monica was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Manitowoc.

Survivors include Monica's son, Matthew (Karrie Helke) Luchsinger, Manitowoc; three siblings, Miriam (John) Bonin, Mark (Kathy) Luchsinger, and Marcia Luchsinger, all of Manitowoc; four nephews, Chad Bonin and his fiancée Nicole Sheperd, Craig (Shannon) Bonin, Alex Luchsinger, and Adam Luchsinger; niece and goddaughter, Cher (Dale) Voigt; three fur babies, Stewie, Newman, and Zander; also other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Miriam Luchsinger; and fur baby, Nibbles.

A Life Celebration Social for relatives and friends will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, 620 North Water Street, Manitowoc, located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home.  At 6 p.m. there will be a prayer service led by Rev. Diane Murray followed with shared memories by family and friends.  Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel with burial of Monica's cremated remains to be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.harriganparksidefuneralhome.com
