Obituary

Nathalie M. Schweigl, age 83, a resident of Manitowoc, entered eternal life while surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.

Nathalie was born on February 17, 1935 in Manitowoc to the late Aaron and Agnes (Schuetter) Bausch. She graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1953. On October 11, 1958, Nathalie married Allan G. Schweigl at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1999. After Allan passed away, Nathalie found a lot of love and companionship from her pet Chihuahuas, Joy and Angel. Nathalie had worked at Weyerhauser for 42 years until her retirement in 1997. She loved filleting of dollies, sewing and knitting. Nathalie also enjoyed cooking and baking, but above all, she enjoyed the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and a lifetime member of the St. Clare Society.

Survivors include Nathalie's daughter, Susan (Tom) Curelli, Cato; son, Dan Schweigl and his special friend, Peggy Mulholland, Manitowoc; sister, Elayne (LeRoy) Dunkel, Manitowoc; brother-in-law, Larry (Barbara) Schweigl, Manitowoc; also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nathalie was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron and Agnes Bausch; her loving husband, Allan; her beloved son, David; sister, Grace Olson; brother, Ken Bausch.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. A luncheon will then take place at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. A prayer service will be led by Deacon Alan Boeldt at 7 p.m. to conclude the visitation. The visitation will continue on Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at noon.
