Neva Ploger, age 92, a resident of Manitowoc, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 24, 2012 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers.

Neva was born on April 27, 1920 in Durand, Michigan to the late Howard and Marie Carlson Dodge. She graduated from Durand High School with the class of 1938. Neva then continued her education at Alma College and Kalamazoo College, both in Michigan. Following her education, she had worked as a dental assistant. On January 14, 1950, Neva married Eugene "Herb" Ploger at First Baptist Church in Owosso, Michigan. Herb preceded Neva in death on September 21, 1985. After marrying Herb, Neva was a stay at home mom and spent a few years selling Avon where she enjoyed calling on her customers.

Survivors include two daughters: Jean Ploger, Manitowoc and Joanne (Chuck) Pruss, North Little Rock, Arkansas; nieces: Myrna Ade and Pauline Falstrom; and nephew: Robert Dodge; other relatives and friends. Neva was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Marie Dodge; husband, Herb; infant son: Roger Ploger; brother: Milton Dodge; and sisters: Mildred Stevenson and Olga French.

A celebration of Neva's life will take place at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 with Pastor Guy Corrigall officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
